Roy Scheider passes away
Immortalised eternally on the silver screen for his role in Jaws, Roy Scheider unfortunately died yesterday after complications involving a staph infection. Scheider had suffered from multiple myeloma for a number of years.
Although some would say Scheider was forever typecast as Police Chief Martin Brody, he continued to have a prolific career after his definitive performance in 1975, performing on both screen and stage.
He is survived by his wife, brother, three children and and two grandchildren.
